An 11 year old in SC was charged with the illegal possession and discharge of a firearm last Thursday, after the gun fired a bullet in the ceiling of a school bus. Parents should be punished as well...What will likely occur is virtually nothing, a bit of token community service, and this kid will think it's acceptable to tote around a gun as a young adult and eventually an adult. I hope the judge who inevitably enters the 'slap on the wrist' order is around when this crazy kid does a lot more harm than put a hole through a piece of metal.
