Suspects in PA have been employing a creative technique for holding up convenience stores. They are tossing scalding hot coffee or hot chocolate drinks from the store into the face of the cashiers while an accomplice snags money from the register. Philadelphia's crime problem is entirely out of hand.

      not exactly on point, but it reminds of a tip i heard recently. if you're being mugged, you should toss your wallet/purse away from the assailant. he or she will usually pursue the booty, allowing you to haul ass in the opposite direction.
