Slap on the wrist? For driving her Land Rover negligently on the 405, rear ending another car which caused that vehicle to lose control and collide with another (killing the driver of the rear ended vehicle), Brandy could be facing the possibility of a 1 year jail term and 1k dollar fine. Surely a wrongful death suit is imminent as well. But is that all you get when your driving is the proximate cause for the untimely death of another?
